Managing investments
Once you've made your original investment decisions you'll want to keep an eye on how they are doing. Your account shows you the current value of your investments and our monitoring tools are designed to keep you in touch with what's happening ... you can even set them to take action when you're away.
Here's an introduction to what's available:
Monitoring tools
Your account gives you direct access to up-to-date information about companies you've invested in – just click on the investment name to view the comprehensive data sheet, with financial analysis, news, and, where available, a round-up of brokers' views.
You’ll also have access to ‘limit’ orders, ‘stop’ orders and alert facilities to keep you advised or take action when a share hits your price point; our free Annual Reports service to obtain copies of reports from companies in which you have invested or are thinking of investing in, and an ‘at-a-glance view of how your investments are doing.
Market data and news
At a broadest level, part of investing is about anticipating what's going to happen - how will interest rates affect markets, which sector will be the next 'big thing', which economies are growing - and which are declining.
So, to manage your investments you'll want to keep in touch with what's happening in the markets, at home and abroad. We'll help with easy access to the latest news and information about markets, companies and economies around the world.
Our publications
Check out stocktake, our quarterly round-up of what's happening in the world of investment. Hot issues, topical comment, what's new and more. It's packed with expert contributions from around the market and useful insights from our Research team.
